Why Micro
is closing.
Micro started in 2022 with a simple idea: one bot that could do everything a Discord community needs, and do it properly. It went further than I ever expected, with 600 servers and 165,000 people across four years.
It was a genuinely interesting project to build. But it never became profitable, and user interest kept fading. Running infrastructure of this size for a product that no longer grows and no longer pays for itself stopped making sense, for me and for the people still relying on it.
So I'm closing it now, while it can still be remembered for what it was, instead of slowly falling apart.
From here I'm focusing entirely on my profitable startups and on projects with a fantastic, active community behind them, the kind of energy that makes building worth it in the first place.
To everyone who invited Micro, reported a bug, suggested a feature or just ran a command at 3am: thank you.
What this means.
The bot is offline
Micro has been shut down and will not be restarted. Commands no longer respond, and you can safely remove it from your server.
No source code release
There are no plans to publish or open-source Micro. The codebase and its assets stay private and remain fully copyright protected.
The rights to Micro
are available.
The sale of the rights to the bot, its source code and its assets is open to evaluation, for anyone who wants to bring back the best Discord bot in Italy.
